The Corporate Business Fee that was proposed in Governor Murphy’s Budget Address would generate $800 million for NJ Transit, which would help alleviate the enormous budget crisis the agency has been facing. NJ Transit has proposed a 15% increase and an additional 3% annual increase; however, if this corporate business tax is passed, more than enough money will be generated to fund NJ Transit. We need the NJ Legislature to pass the corporate business tax and representatives to advocate against the fare hikes.
