Microtransit, small, flexible transportation options that help people make short trips and connect to buses and trains, is working in New York. Programs like RockawayRides and BrentwoodGO are fully electric, on-demand shuttle services filling critical transit gaps in the Rockaways and Central Islip/Brentwood.

Launched with support from NYSERDA, these programs have already delivered over 160,000 zero-emission trips, created local green jobs, connected residents to work, school, groceries, healthcare, and public transit, and earned overwhelming community support.

The vehicles are purchased. The chargers are installed. The workforce is trained. But without continued state funding, these essential services could shut down.

Tell Governor Hochul: protect this smart investment and fund RockawayRides and BrentwoodGO so clean, reliable, and equitable transportation remains a reality for New Yorkers who rely on it every day.
